31 Mar 11 Canon James Rosenthal to Lead Major Passiontide Services
Revd CanonWe are delighted that the Revd Canon Dr James Rosenthal will once again be taking our major Sunday services through Passiontide.

A native of Chicago, Canon Jim  Rosenthal came to England in 1989 to serve as Communications Officer for the world-wide Anglican Communion at their secretariat in London.  He has travelled to some 60 countries, mostly with Archbishop Carey and Lady Carey and to several places such as Sudan, Burundi, Solomon Islands, Angola and the USA with Archbishop Rowan and Mrs Williams.

He lived in Canterbury where he was the reader at the Cathedral. In London he was the church warden at St Matthew's Westminster.  In 2007 he was ordained deacon in St Pauls Cathedral and in 2009 was priested in St Stephen Walbrook where he worked with the London Internet Church. He was Assistant at All Hallows by the Tower.  In 2000 he inaugurated the English speaking St Nicholas Society and now  also works part-time in communications for the Awareness Foundation.

Fr Jim says "I love being at the Anglican heart of Bayswater, having celebrated for both last Easter and Christmas with you all. Your tradition can be a way of attracting new people as it comes to new life with some new approaches. You are known for being friendly and welcoming to new people, especially tourists and visitors."

Fr Jim's passion is preaching and evangelism; he simply wants people to know Jesus loves them and that love is shared in this place.
