10 Dec 11 More than £1300 raised at Christmas Market
This year’s Christmas Market was a resounding success, raising £1,352, with many stalls reporting increases of more than 60% on the year. Last year’s total was £991 but we had had to contend with snow and one of the coldest days in the winter. This year the weather was fine and the stalls were positioned throughout the church, not just at the back, which looked very attractive. The Café also did a brisk trade.
The Archdeacon of Charing Cross, the Venerable Dr William Jacob, put in a surprise appearance during the morning, and we were also delighted to welcome our Area Dean, the Revd Jeremy Allcock and his family.
Appreciation and congratulations must go to the organiser, Kate McGregor and her team for a really great day.
