Hundreds came to St Matthew’s on Monday 8 October to witness and celebrate the Licensing of Will Coleridge as our new Associate Vicar.
The Bishop of London, Dr Richard Chartres, presided over the service and spoke powerfully of our history and the unchangeable love of God. He then led our celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
Over 300 attended the service including local residents, representatives from local schools which use the church, and the congregations of St Matthew’s, St Stephen’s Westbourne Park and St Michael’s Chester Square.
Many stayed to enjoy drinks and nibbles after the service. It was a truly memorable evening in what marks a new and exciting era for us all at St Matthew’s.
